Brendan Hunt Had a Wife & Is Now in a Relationship with Shannon Nelson

The identity of actor Brendan Hunt's wife remains a subject of curiosity among fans, given that he was reportedly married in the past. Hunt has been romantically linked with another woman for quite some time.

Brendan Hunt's accomplishments in Hollywood include starring in popular films such as "We're the Millers" and "Horrible Bosses 2." He is also a regular cast member, writer, and co-creator of the Apple TV+ sitcom "Ted Lasso."

Hunt's success has made fans curious about his relationships, a topic he rarely discusses in public. However, his circumstances shifted after he became a father.

Hunt was once married and is presently in a relationship with Shannon Nelson. Nelson has built a career in the entertainment industry, just like Hunt.

Nelson has had limited on-screen appearances in recent years, primarily in short films and TV series.

Brendan Hunt Was Once Briefly Married

In a March 2023 interview with The Athletic, Hunt said he was "married for a brief period." He also recalled that his former parents-in-law gave him a Shakespeare-themed scarf with the words "Tottenham Hotspur" written on it.

Even though Hunt hasn't said much about his first marriage, he is reportedly married to Nelson. However, it is unclear whether or not Hunt is married since neither he nor his partner has disclosed their marital status on social media or in any public interviews.

Nevertheless, an Instagram post from 2013 implies that they have been together for a long time. Nelson posted a picture of the actor hula-hooping with his arms crossed over his chest. The photo was taken in the same year Hunt and Nelson co-starred in a play called "Absolutely Filthy."

The couple surprised the world by welcoming their first child. When Nelson celebrated Hunt's birthday in 2021, she shared a lengthy and heartfelt tribute with a photo of the actor and their little son. Her post read:

"The past year has been chockablock full of adventure. Maybe not the kind we were always confident in braving, but with you as a partner we will always laugh and we proved we can do anything."

Brendan and Shannon Had a Long and Difficult Road to Parenthood

Hunt and Nelson's baby is named Sean Theodore Nelson Hunt. Nelson shared on Instagram that giving birth to Sean was challenging as she had to deal with contractions for hours, a 19-hour induction, and then a c-section. All of this happened during the pandemic lockdown in London.

The couple values their little boy greatly. Hunt revealed in August 2020 that they had encountered multiple obstacles, including difficulty conceiving while anticipating the birth of their child that year. They also met another concern shortly after Sean's birth.

In May 2021, Hunt tweeted that he wished for American citizens who have a baby while working abroad to be able to get U.S. citizenship and a passport for their child easily. Since Sean had yet to get his own passport, he had to stay in London.

In September of the same year, Hunt briefly opened up in a "Jimmy Kimmel Live" interview that he was in London for work amid the pandemic and decided to bring his longtime partner with him.

The couple stayed there until their son's birth. Although Hunt was able to return to the U.S. for work soon after, Nelson and Sean remained longer in London.

Despite being physically distant from Nelson and their son, Hunt used social media to communicate with them. He shared their photo on Instagram and captioned the cute snap: "Transatlantic Parenting."
